Although daunting initially practitioners in Early Years are beginning to develop really creative ways of using the EYPP funding. Case studies are available on 4children website and Early Education are developing a project to explore the use of EYPP. Collaboration is the name of the game and existing transition links a good place to start! Working with other settings on common concerns can really help devise innovative and exciting projects. To ‘narrow the gap’ the usual issues seem to be priorities, communication & language, PSED and parental involvement – useful also to think about ‘pause points’ such as admission, integrated review, progress tracking and transition as times to reflect on expected progress and successful ways we have been able to build parental confidence.
